Kandy city is itself of note mainly for the Temple of the Buddha’s Tooth. Hiking to the tops of holy mountains, trekking to temples perched on hillsides over the jungle, and a lot of time spent reading through rainy days. Sri Lanka was way more fun than I had any right to expect out of a nine day stop between the Emirates and Indonesia.
