Yalta occupies a beautiful valley in the mountains of Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula, fronting to the Black Sea and a boardwalk/ harbour area.
And, like any good ex-Soviet resort town, Lenin statues and Soviet symbols are all over the place.
Outside of town, too, are cool cultural attractions. The "Swallow's Nest" is a castle-turned-Italian restaurant perched on a cliff over the Black Sea.
Not to be beaten by the cultural attractions, the natural aspects of Crimea are also pretty spectacular. This bay sits juts under the Swallow's Nest.
Looming over the whole area, a mountain range crowned by Mt. Ai-Petri in the distance.
